This 1983 Yamaha XV750 Midnight Virago has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it’s only showing 10685 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration, bobber or Café racer project is the bike, whether it’s going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES…….. As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – R/h side panel being the most obvious. It has stood a while so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres are perished & master cylinder isn’t working. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS………The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good. Instruments & switches look ok. Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Exhausts are original & appear to be solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically clean – We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention. This is only a very brief description….If you are placing a bid reliant on parts that can’t be seen in the pictures being there and/or in serviceable condition or require any further information please give us a call or better still visit our showroom and have a good look over this bike & all the others we have on eBay for yourself – after all who are you going to believe me or your own eyes?
