Ducati 900SS Cafe Racer. I built this bike during the lock-downs of 2019/20. It then sat for a while whilst I moved home but I commissioned it for the road this time last year. The list of work is extensive but a few main points are, Stripped back to naked frame, rear sub-frame modified for cafe racer tail unit and all unnecessary brackets removed. Frame prepped and professionally painted. This was carried out at the same time as the tank, fairing and seat unit. The DUCATI on the tank and number board are painted, not stickers.Front headlight and clock mount modified for new fairing and clocks and to facilitate clip on bars.Swing arm, wheels and assorted brackets powder coated.Forks rebuilt with anodized stanchions new seals and oil.Rebuilt calipers with new seals pads and sliders. Assembled onto the bike with new braided lines for both front and rear brakes and clutch.New clutch components including basket, plates and slave cylinder.Valve clearances checked and new belts fitted.New chain and sprocketsNew high capacity ignition coils.Carbs stripped cleaned and rebuilt. The list of work is very long but I’m happy to answer any questions people have.
I actually thought I had sold this bike via Ebay early autumn last year. The winning bidder messaged me upon completion of the auction to tell me he had made a mistake and no longer wanted the bike. I offered it to the second highest bidder and never heard back from them. A little disillusioned I decided to keep the bike for the winter and offer it for sale again in the spring.
I can deliver the bike along the M4 corridor at the buyers expense.
