A lovely KZ750E from 1981 – in January will be tax and MOT Free!
Completely rebuilt during lockdown, I bought it as an unfinished project and built it from nuts and bolts. Everything needing replacement was.
Wiring was a nightmare so I started again and installed a moto gadget Blue computer, switches, wiring and LED lights all round.
So it has keyless go, an alarm and a phone app to configure its functions. its pretty cool.
Frame hoop welded in and the frame and swinging arm powder coated, brakes completely rebuilt with new pistons and seals, carbs just had a professional rebuild by my local bike shop to accommodate the different air filters that i fitted.
Wheels blasted and powder coated, new bearings all round.
Bare metal respray, done by me so not completely perfect but not half bad.
New chain, rear shocks…. long list. Basically I got it in boxes, went through every nut and bolt and either refurbished or replaced. I still have some parts that come off it and a few spare gaskets etc.
It passed MOT at first go back in May. on riding it this morning looks like a fork seal needs replacing. weeping a little.
I am based on the Isle of Wight, in Ryde. If you would like more information, pictures etc just let me know and of course, if you would like to come and have a look I can pick you up from Hover or Ferry etc…
