“The BURTON”: ONE OF A KIND 1956 CUSTOM CAFE RACER (Buell X1 Engine, bespoke finish)
This stunning Burton (Norton/Buell) is a one-of-a-kind custom built cafe racer, named one of the most ‘unorthodox’ Norton cafe racers Bike Exif has ever seen (link). The bike is finished with a host of bespoke parts – including the front fender, seat (with integrated tail light), Manx-style exhaust and custom spoked wheels. This bike comes fitted with removable passenger pegs, rear-set foot controls, and clip-on bars equipped with vintage Triumph replica switches from Sparx. This in an incredibly special bike, powered by a 1300 CC Buell X1 engine which has been tuned and kitted with a number of performance parts. This bike is an absolute joy to ride and with only 2 previous owners (including myself) it has covered less than 1000 miles and is in fantastic condition. The bike holds its classic 1956 regestration. Please see this feature on Bike Exif for further details on the custom features designed and put together by it’s first owner. Previously also featured on The Bike Shed.
