A rare chance to buy a very original and very complete 1925 Indian Scout 37 cubic inch twin. Dry stored for many years. Imported from New Zealand around 20 years ago (see last photo), it was very carefully dismantled and inspected but no further work has been done. The engine turned over freely and the internals are in good condition ready to be rebuilt. It has nearly all its original components (I can’t load more photos but there are many more parts not shown) including Splitdorff mag, Schleber carb, Messenger leather seat, generator and Indian voltmeter. Engine and gearbox are complete (carefully dismantled, cleaned and stored), tank is rust free, in fact there is no real rust on any parts, only light surface rust. Frame is very solid and I think retains it’s original paint (!) the wheels also have their original paint including gold pinstripe. All the linkages, brackets and brake parts are there.I think everything is there apart from the headlight bowl (rim, reflector and brackets are there), battery box and tail light. The shifter, twist grips and footboard rubbers are new repro parts, otherwise everything is original to the bike. Might be one or two minor parts missing but I don’t think so.
Please ask any questions you might have before clicking buy-it-now, I can send photos of any particular component. I will consider all offers but it will go to the highest bidder or the first to click buy-it-now. The sale will be final and a non-refundable deposit payable, you must be serious about completing the deal, not using it as a way to come and have a look and tire kick. I am sure you understand, I do not have time to deal with time wasters or dreamers. Balance of payment to be paid by bank transfer and bike to be picked up within 4 weeks max.
This is a super rare chance to get an early Indian in such original condition.
